FRENCH VINTAGE TEXTILE STAMPS AND ROLLERS
These original, intricate woodblock stamps and rollers, inset with metal detailing or old rubber designs, were used traditionally on cotton and linen cloth to create very personal decorative designs and unique motifs or monograms to tablecloths, napkins and bedding. Once the markings of each design was completed the cloth was then embroidered by hand at home.
Our stock always varies, but mainly consists of flowers, swirls, swags, scollops and monograms lettering. They are genuine old pieces, used and stained with indigo ink. Nowdays they are avidly sourced by creatives across the board to embellish their work.
